Paying for your lessons
Payment is due at least 24 hours before your scheduled lesson. Regular online tutoring is $60 AUD per 60-minute session. In-person lessons start from $60; any travel fee or agreed discount is confirmed before you book.
I’ll send payment instructions privately when we arrange your lessons. Please use the student’s name and lesson date as your payment reference. You pay weekly; there is no requirement to buy a block of lessons.
If we arrange a lesson less than 24 hours ahead, payment is due when the booking is confirmed. If you have trouble making a payment, contact me before the deadline so we can discuss it. Unpaid lessons may be postponed until payment is arranged.
Your first trial is free. No payment is required for the trial, and there is no obligation to continue.
Cancelling or rescheduling
Please give at least 24 hours’ notice before the lesson starts by sending me a message through our usual messaging channel or emailing nguyendaniel2005@gmail.com. Include the student’s name and the lesson date and time. Notice is measured from when your message or email is received; you do not need to wait for my reply.
With at least 24 hours’ notice, you can reschedule, subject to availability, or choose a refund or credit for any payment already made for that lesson. Please wait for me to confirm the new time.
For example, a Monday 5 pm lesson needs to be cancelled by Sunday 5 pm. All lesson times and deadlines use Melbourne local time.
Late cancellations & missed lessons
With less than 24 hours’ notice, or if a lesson is missed without notice, a cancellation charge may apply. This is limited to reasonable, unrecoverable costs and lost income, up to the agreed lesson fee. It is reduced or waived where costs are saved or the time is filled by another student.
I understand that sudden illness and emergencies happen. Please contact me as soon as possible; I’ll consider the circumstances individually and discuss any charge with you. Free trials do not attract a cancellation charge.
If plans change on my side
If I need to cancel, you can choose another available time, a credit or a full refund for that lesson. If a lesson is interrupted by an issue on my side, we’ll arrange replacement time or an appropriate refund.
For Zoom connection problems, message me promptly so we can try to reconnect or agree on a practical alternative.
Arriving late & taking a break
Please arrive or join Zoom on time. If you are running late, send me a message. Lessons normally finish at the agreed time so the next student’s lesson can start as scheduled. Any charge for time that cannot be delivered is handled fairly under the missed-lesson policy above.
You can pause or stop ongoing lessons by message or email. Give at least 24 hours’ notice before the next booked lesson; any later cancellation is handled under the policy above. Let me know early about school holidays or planned absences.
Questions? Just ask.
I’ll explain these arrangements before your first paid lesson. Summer program dates, fees and any separate cancellation terms will be provided before enrolment.
Email DanielThis policy does not limit your rights under the Australian Consumer Law, including any right to a refund or other remedy where required.
